🌠 Join the mission & support clinical float research!
Help us shoot for the stars and establish floating as an accepted medical treatment that can naturally relieve those suffering from pain, stress, and anxiety.
The Float Research Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all direct donations are tax-deductible. Our mission is to establish worldwide acceptance for Floatation-REST (Reduced Environmental Stimulation Therapy) as a treatment to naturally relieve pain, stress, anxiety and other related conditions.
🚀 CURRENT MISSION: PROJECT ARCTURUS
Who wants to help fund and participate in the largest float study that has ever been conducted?!
Project Arcturus is an international study that will help shape the arc of future float research.
The research will be conducted at least 100 commercial float centers around the world
The project will allow us to discover the full range of clinical indications that floating is regularly used for
This will be the largest float study ever conducted, with participants in the thousands!
We aim to start the study in 2024 and publish the results by 2025 - please help us launch this landmark study! All money raised and pledged through the end of 2023 will be matched dollar for dollar (up to $150,000) by Guardian Eco Group, an R&D and philanthropic organization based in the Gold Coast of Australia that is focused on promoting wellness on Earth via sustainable energy and the development of novel healing modalities.
Float Seattle has pledged to donate $200/month through the summer of 2024 + 15% of proceeds from select gift card campaigns to support Project Arcturus.
Excitingly, Float Seattle locations will be directly participating in Project Arcturus, and our guests and members will have a chance to be a part of the study!
Every day at Float Seattle, we witness the benefits of float therapy. People come into our centers feeling tired, stressed out, burnt out, and sapped of energy. An hour or so later, they reemerge from their float like a whole new person. Their mood is improved. They feel refreshed and re-energized, like the weight of the world has suddenly been lifted. Imagine for a moment if the entire world could access float therapy and feel the immediate relief it provides from pain, stress, and anxiety. The Float Research Collective (FRC) is on a mission to do just that!
We've started a team to help the FRC fundraise $10 million to conduct a groundbreaking set of studies directly comparing float therapy to the gold standard medical treatments for the rapid reduction of anxiety and pain (benzodiazepines and opioids). In other words, floating will take on the Behemoths of Big Pharma! Highly addictive drugs like Xanax (a benzodiazepine) and OxyContin (an opioid) have killed more than 1 million Americans since the turn of the millennium due to drug overdoses. Millions more are physiologically addicted to these prescription medications and unable to stop taking them without severe and often life-threatening withdrawal symptoms. Treating mental distress via prescriptions has become the default approach of our current medical system, and the FRC is challenging the notion that the only way to relieve suffering quickly is by popping a pill. The peer-reviewed science documenting floating’s stress, anxiety, and pain relief is strong and growing. Watch Dr. Feinstein’s presentation below, and you’ll see just how far science has come!
Please help us raise funds for the FRC’s mission to establish floating as an accepted medical treatment that can naturally relieve the suffering of those with pain, stress, and anxiety.
Thanks for your support! If we can reach our goals and make floating available to all as a medically viable treatment, it will truly be a dream come true. This is exactly why I got into the float industry and it's an honor to go beyond running our centers to work toward this future with Dr. Feinstein and others. If floating has changed your life and improved your ability to handle stress, anxiety, and pain, please donate and spread the word!

WATCH: Floating: Discover the remarkable therapy that naturally relieves pain, stress, and anxiety
This documentary features uplifting stories of ordinary people reducing their stress, easing their pain, and performing at their highest level through Floatation Therapy. On the heels of Dr. Feinstein's groundbreaking research showing the rapid anti-anxiety and antidepressant effect of floating, this film follows Shane Stott as he introduces floating to the people who need it the most, and in the process helps them learn how to heal themselves.
FLOATING provides a behind-the-scenes look into the science, where you will get to see Dr. Feinstein's floatation research in action!
